Stacey and Troy

November 5, 2016

November 5, 2016, turned out to be one of the most perfect days to have a wedding. Instead of dry, freezing weather, the air was warm and the sun, bright! Stacey and Troy held their wedding at the brand new Noah's Event Venue in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Surrounded by friends and family, Stacey and Troy committed their lives to one another to become husband and wife.

But Stacey's journey down the aisle began many months before they said "I do". We sat down with Stacey the January before, exactly 10 months prior to the big day! One of Stacey's primary concerns with her wedding gown was that she would feel comfortable throughout the day. She expressed that she is not a "dress person" and didn't want to feel odd in a complicated and uncomfortable gown. So how does one make a dress for someone who doesn't like wearing dresses? By choosing the perfect fabrics, a fun and easy silhouette, and designing it to the Bride's exact specifications.

Stacey's dress is made of 3 primary fabrics; Charmeuse, chiffon, and lace. Stacey chose a timeless corded Chantilly lace that has gorgeous scalloped edges. The lace has built-in stretch to it, making it super soft and comfortable. Her skirt is made of a silky Charmeuse and light-weight chiffon, allowing an effortless flow.

The neckline is a soft scoop trimmed with the elegant scalloped lace. The sole fabric used in creating the sleeves is the soft stretch lace embellished with the delicate scalloped edge around the bottom. The bodice is fitted to her natural waist where we stitched a custom-beaded sash that was tied into a bow in back. The back formed a flattering “V” and is also trimmed with the scalloped edge of the lace. The fabrics of Stacey's skirt flowed with ease as she moved, leading into an elegant, sweeping train. The Bride’s look was completed with a custom hairpiece made of the matching beading from the sash, with white Toms that we embellished with matching lace.

Congratulations Stacey and Troy! Thank you for the honor of being a part of your big day!
